Course Introduction:

Has it been a challenge to learn MS Project on your own? You may have experienced some frustration during the process. This workshop will show you how to use MS Project right the first time and every time.

Prerequisite: Basic understanding of project management principles and some experience in managing projects.

Prior to this course, consider taking Project Management Basics or you can take Managing Projects Using MS Project 2016 which combines Project Management theory with MS Project in practice.

Setting planning guidelines in MS Project
Entering planning information
Setting up project & resource calendars
Assigning resources to your project and tasks
Fine tuning project schedule to meet project constraints and resolve conflicts
Baselining project planning information
Tracking project plan using with actual information
Reviewing progress and variance information

Become familiar with MS Project functionality. Learn how to:
Create and track project schedules
Update the schedule with actual data
Perform earned value and variance analysis
Publish project status to persuasively communicate with senior management
