This hands-on workshop is divided into four modules which will build on each other. It is based on the best practices highlighted in the Project Management Institute (PMI)'s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®).

Using appropriate requirements gathering techniques
Controlling scope using change and configuration management systems
Using estimating techniques
Dealing with unrealistic schedule constraints
Making optimal use of resources
Managing time reporting and progress
Aligning team skills and resources to meet project goals

Dealing with resource conflicts
Providing feedback
Creating the framework for risk management
Defining prerequisites for project success
Using risk response techniques to enhance project success.

This workshop will include lectures, exercises, and discussions. The emphasis is on participant discussions and exercises. Participants will be provided with a Participant Handbook.
